Parent Resource Center

The Parent Resource Center is filled with all types of books and resources aimed to assist you as you engage in your child’s education.  Along with instructional books and workbooks for all grade levels, the PRC will also include information on community resources, parenting, self-help, and more.  In addition to books, we have tons of activities, games and manipulatives that you can check out and use at home with your kids. 

Next time you are at SMS having lunch or picking up your child, stop by the Parent Resource Center located in the Media Center.

El centro de recursos para padres está llena de todo tipo de libros y recursos dirigidos a ayudarle como usted participar en la educación de su hijo.  Junto a libros de instrucción y los libros para todos los grados, el PRC también incluirá información sobre los recursos comunitarios, crianza, autoayuda y mucho más.  Además de libros, tenemos muchas actividades, juegos y manipuladores que puede ver y usar en casa con sus hijos.

The PRC was specially-designed for parents as a place to: 

• receive free informational brochures about education, child development, parenting, and community resources;
• to borrow books with tapes to read/listen with your child;
• to attend free parent workshops on topics of relevance to enhance your child's learning;
• to attend free community workshops on interesting and helpful topics,
• to network with other parents
• to check out resources to use with your children at home.
